A partner since 1994, Charlie Lanier received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from LSU in 1984, and a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School in 1987.  He joined Christovich & Kearney in 1987.  Mr. Lanier's practice includes virtually all areas of civil litigation including class actions, construction, commercial disputes, products liability, maritime, transportation, health care liability, employment discrimination, workers’ compensation, insurance and all forms of casualty litigation.  He has tried and argued cases at district and appellate court levels throughout Louisiana, including the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Mr. Lanier is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, The Federalist Society and The Defense Research Institute.  He is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Louisiana, the United States Supreme Court, and is admitted to practice law in Texas and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Mr. Lanier is also active in the community. He has served on the boards of Metairie Park Country Day School, STAIR (Start the Adventure in Reading), which targets at risk 2nd grade readers, the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, serving as past board President, and as a volunteer coach at his local NORD playground.
